Good Company was a project investigating independent businesses in Ilford, past and present, and how they have contributed to the social and cultural life of the town.

Lucy collected stories, images and ephemera related to shops, pubs, nightclubs and other local businesses from local residents, from visits to groups and individuals and from a mobile cabinet which was sited on the High Street and in the Exchange Shopping Centre.

A free guidebook was published and was distributed from Redbridge Central Library and local businesses in 2015.

As well as the publication of the guidebook, Lucy led a series of walks and events in 2014 including a sewing workshop with Cheekyhandmades at Regent Home of Sewing, a music history walk with accompanying playlist, a book launch in Bodgers of Ilford, a Hidden Gems of Ilford walk and two Ilford Tasting Tours which visited a series of local food outlets.

Good Company was part of the public art programme Ilford This Way, developing a creative direction for the town centre; building on what is here and unique to Ilford, commissioned by Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure.
