This was the first Rendezvous Club to be planned by Canvey residents. Janet and Sheila decided to go on the route of the Canvey Carnival - which finished in 2000- and handed out leaflets, flags and paper hats to passersby. The group went along the sea wall, down a secret short cut, through the Admiral Jellicoe carpark and down Seaview Road to the seafront.
